Round Público Deposited

Definición
  • Round.  A bullion medal obviously in round shape. Such die-struck items are issued by private mints to fulfill the craze of acquiring small amounts of bullion in coined form, Their design is often of less importance than their metallic content. As the demand for bullion INGOTS fell following their introduction in the 1960s, private minters replaced these for the most part in the 1970s with round struck pieces, somewhat easier for them to manufacture. Despite the lack of a more creative name for this class of bullion items, the name “rounds” caught on.  See bullion medal.
