• Seal Medal.  A medallic item whose principal device is a seal or trademark. Many medals may have seals, trademarks or logos as part of their design, but a seal medal contains no other design other than the seal. Seal medals are often uniface and are mounted on other objects to identify them with the organization associated with the seal. Seal medals have another important use in modeling. They can be easily embedded into a model to incorporate the seal into the design. United States Inaugural medals have been so made to incorporate the presidential seal.
