Set Lines Pubblico Deposited

Definizione
  • Set Lines.  Real or imaginary lines used by a hand engraver when laying out the design to be hand engraved. Set lines are useful in providing a reference for a ground line or a horizon if these are included in the design, and in keeping design elements and base lines for lettering parallel. Set points are also established (as at the corners of a triangle) to take measurements when reducing a drawing (cartoon) to the face of the die by triangulation.
