Spitz, Spitzstick Público Deposited
- Spitz, Spitzstick. A pointed graver; an engraving tool with a long sharp pointed end. Spitz (German: sharp point) or spitzstick have long sloping sides, often used in preliminary engraving by outlining designs for later engraving in depth, or small sloping cuts which can easily be modified if the engraver desires to alter the design.
