Street Medal Publique Deposited
- Street Medal. A souvenir item sold to the public, usually of low cost and hawked on the street, hence the name. Most street medals were cheaply-struck low relief items made for public celebrations, often of white metal. Few have survived in pristine condition today because most – if looped or holed – were worn or carried by the first owner. See souvenir medal.
