Strip Pubblico Deposited

Definizione
  • Strip.  (2) The removal of an unwanted layer or layers of lacquer, surface adherents or metal from the surface of a numismatic or medallic item. Usually this is the first step in refinishing and restoration. Lacquer and most adherents are removed by solvents; eletrodeposited metal (plating) is removed by reverse plating.  See electroplating.
