Definizione

• Terminal Die State.  The final state of a die before it retired, or breaks completely, as evident on a struck piece. This is determined by a study of as many specimens of that particular variety as possible by an advanced numismatist. It is the desire by such a numismatist to determine the EMISSION SEQUENCE of all the states of that die, from the first hairline crack to its terminal die state. See DIE STATE.
