Trophy House Medal Pubblico Deposited

Definizione
  • Trophy House Medal.   A medallic item, usually a stock item bearing an image of a particular sport or event, often poorly design and cheaply made. The custom of awarding a medal in a sports event gave rise to an industry that supplied these to the sponsors. They are seldom individualized – other than perhaps engraving the event or the recipient’s name – or customized, but are designed for any sponsor to order and award. The one overall factor is cost. How cheaply can these be made, thus they have little lasting value, often to the recipient himself. Such sports medals are destined to be junk medals forever and end up in junk boxes in dealer’s inventory.
