• Workshop.  An atelier or studio; a medal worker's area where engraving, designing, molding, modeling, sculpturing, casting, patinaing, enameling or other medallic operations take place, but no striking. A workshop differs from a factory or plant in the number of workers involved and the number of operations. A plant produces a complete medallic product; while a workshop must have medals struck elsewhere.
