- A small copper or billon coin circulated in parts of Catalu�a, Spain by Felipe III (1598-1621) and by his successors until the mid-1700s. In 1811 the Catalu�a ardites (in Catal�n, ardit) were converted into 1/8 maravid� pieces. 2. A copper coin of Barcelona during the reigns of Philipe III, Philipe IV, and Louis XIV of France. 3. In 1755, under Fernando VI of Spain, a coin produced in Segovia to be circulated in Catalu�a.
