Blanca Publique Deposited

Définition
  • A billon coin started by Pedro I of Castilla, 1350-1369, and used until Fernando & Isabel. Also called a cinquen. This piece began as a good silver coin but became debased over the decades. The slang blanca (white) was given when it was silver, but the name continued long after most of the silver had been removed from new versions of dark coins.
