Definición

• A denomination first coined in Barcelona during the French occupation. (1808-1814). At the same time a coin of that value was issued by Fernando VII for Girona, Lleida and Tarragona. It was a necessity coin in Mallorca in 1823. 2. Beginning in 1868, this coin was regularly produced through the end of the century.
