Definition

• A secret system in most modern scanners can recognize banknotes issued from all around the world and will not copy or print them. Computer photocopiers, printers and scanners since about 1996 can spot a hidden pattern of small yellow, green or orange circles, which are repeated across banknotes in different orientations and not process the image.
