• The Professional Numismatists Guild member dealers have a typical trade association pledge. In brief: Do not misrepresent rarity, value or quality of coins sold. Do not use high-pressure sales tactics. Never knowingly buy or sell stolen coins, and assist authorities in recovering them. Do not sell counterfeit, altered or repaired coins without full disclosure to the buyer. Do not misrepresent the investment potential of coins being sold. Pay reasonable prices promptly for items clients sell. Give research to clients about their purchases and inquiries. Use arbitration in complicated disputes and abide by the decisions.
