- Spanish: Wreath, an arrangement of leaves and flowers in a circle or partial circle, a popular element on coins for centuries. A wreath on the back of a coin prevents congruent mass problems when there is a high relief bust on the front of the piece. Also called corona, trenza, or festn. See: Masa congruente for more on the congruent mass issue in coin design.
