• Spanish: Bag mark. Marks and abrasions which occurred on a coin during its production, storage or transportation after being placed in a canvas bag at the U.S. mints. Larger coins have more bag marks than smaller ones because of their weight. Bag marks do not mean that a coin is circulated.
