  • A silver coining weight authorized by Fernando & Isabel, according to the Courts of Medina del Campo in 1497, to create 65 reales with 2 reales for coining costs. This was 2278 maravedis worth of silver, based on 34 maravedis x 67 reales. The coins would have been various combinations of 2 reales, 4 reales and 8 reales pieces totally 65 reales.
