• A copper necessity coin issued during the French occupation of Spain in the mid 1600s. The coins were probably copied from those of Felipe II and Felipe III. 2. Slang used in medieval Spain for billon dineros of the regions of Arag�n, Catalu�a and Valencia. 3. Slang for an unimportant or small copper or billon coins. Also: menut.
