Definition

• Spanish: Necessity money, coins or currency created in emergency situations such as wars. It was usually intended for a specific period in a certain location only. In the province of Catalonia, alone during Spain�s Civil War (1936-1939) there were more than 700 communities that produced their own banknotes.
