Moneda funeraria Öffentlichkeit Deposited
- Spanish: Coins or currency used for funerals in different cultures. Small billon coins were typically used in burials in Spain, from the 1200s to 1500s for the tradition of the bolo de Caronte. Small coins were pierced with tiny holes through which thin wire was strung so the pieces could be placed on the body as a necklace, bracelet or attached to a tooth. In Asia banknote replicas are often placed with bodies.
