Oferta y demanda Public Deposited

Definition
  • Spanish: Supply and demand. Numismatically this is simple but it is surprising to non-collectors. A choice bronze ancient Roman coin the size of a cent can be bought for as little as $10. That is because while only about 20,000 may exist, the number of collectors of that type is not huge. But a U.S. 1909-S VDB Lincoln cent, of which 484,000 were made, in the same condition sells for $1,000. That is because those cents form the most popular type of collection in the USA, population about 320,000,000.
