- The most important document providing control and consistency to Hispanic coins for more than two centuries. A royal order by Fernando & Isabel, it established weight and fineness rules for coins yet to be made from American silver and gold. It was a milestone guiding coin making, long before the huge discoveries of wealth in the Americas. Medina del Campo is a town 200 Km NW of Madrid.
