- An Aztec word for 1/8 the number of cacao beans equal to 1 real. 2. A copper token circulated by Mexico merchants in the 1700s and 1800s. The unofficial circulation of these pesky tokens caused the viceroy to mint minor copper coins in 1814. After this, the word tlaco was given to the new copper 1/8 real piece. 3. Slang in 1800s Mexico for 4 real and 50 centavo coins. 4. Slang for Mexico�s 2 centavos of 1905-1941.
