• Born at Brockton, Massachusetts. Served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Married (1) to Anne Forlaw on April 24, 1948. They has a son and three daughters. Married (2) to Jo Ann Shewey Terrell on December 1, 1990. Employed with Pilot Life Insurance Co. and Jefferson Pilot Investments Inc.

  Secretary and Treasurer for North Carolina Numismatic Association. He was named a Numismatic News Numismatic Ambassador in 1996.

  He died at Presbyterian Home in High Point, North Carolina.
