Bio

  • Born in Hanover, Germany. Came to America in 1855 and settled in Dedham, Massachusetts. Employed as a tailor. He moved to Boston in 1860.

    In 1875 he published a premium list for coins he would buy. His collection included an 1804 dollar. He sold his business to Herbert Morey. Ahlborn coins were included in two Haseltine sales in 1875 and 1881.
