Lapp, Warren Anthony Public Deposited
Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He received A.B. from Ohio State University in 1939. Married Emma Katherine Beard January 25, 1941. They had two sons.
Obstetrician and Gynecologist. He did his internship in Brooklyn 1939 to 1941 and residency 1941 to 1944. Served as an army doctor in World War II 1944 to 1946. He was one of the doctors attending to the dying General George Patton. Lapp received the Bronze Star. He practiced medicine in Brooklyn 1947 to 1970. He was director for OB-GYN at St. Johns Episcopal Hospital in Brooklyn after 1970.
Charter member number 33 of Early American Coppers club. In 1971 he was presented the EAC "Man of the Year" award. Creator and editor of Penny Wise September 15, 1967, to March 15, 1986. Editor with Herb Silberman of United States Large Cents 1793-1857.
He died at home in Charlotte, North Carolina.
