Born in Watertown, Wisconsin. Graduate cum laude with A.B. from Radcliff College in 1923; LL.D. from University of Wisconsin. Married Paul Reinhardt May 23, 1926; divorced in 1934. Employed as art dealer with Reinhardt Galleries in NYC. Married Albert Davis Lasker June 21, 1940. He was prominent in advertising and died in 1952.
President of the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation. The foundation made significant contributions for medical research. Mary has been a lobbyist for health research.
Received Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1969. Received Congressional Gold Medal in 1989. Bronze copies of the medal were sold to the public in two sizes, 3 inch (USM 697) and 1.5 inch (USM 698).
