  Attended the University of Dayton graduating in 1970. Employed in broadcasting 1970 to 1972. Married to Joyce with two sons.

  Employed with Paramount International Coin Corp 1973 to 1982. He wrote ad copy and learned numismatic photography. Editor of Coin World "Trends" 1976 to 1982. Employed with First Coinvesters and Mid-American Rare Coin Auctions.

  ANA life member. He received the Medal of Merit in 2006, Exemplary Service Award in 2010 and Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in 2011. He was appointed to the ANA Board in 2014 to fill a vacant position.
