  • Married with children. Served with the Army Corp of Engineers. Retired as Lt. Colonel. 

    In 1942 he received orders to report to Tennessee to work on construction of what was to become Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He traveled extensively during the war to facilities devoted to the development of the atomic bomb. After the bombs were dropped on Japan, he travelled there to assess bomb damage. 

    In 1972 he received the Howland Wood “Best-of-Show” exhibit award of "Great Rarities in Ancient Bronze."
