  • Banker in Hartford, Connecticut. Employed with Bissell & Company. Married Emily P. Haynes about 1870.

    He issued price lists of coins, patterns, medals and store cards in 1861. He conducted at least six auctions sales 1861 to 1872. He published many varieties of Civil War envelopes.

    He commissioned Joseph H. Merriam of Boston to produce dies for these copies:

    New England elephant token 1694

    Non Vi Virtute Vici 1786

    Rosa Americana Twopence 1733

    Later he commissioned George H. Lovett of New York to produce dies for these copies:

    George Washington President 1789

    Higley Copper store card of 1861

    Non Dependens Status 1778

    He also issued medalets and trade cards. He published lists indicating the number of pieces struck in various metals. Robinson is listed as a consignor to several sales 1861 through 1870.
