Biografia

• Born in Coluda County, California. Married to Frances Harriette Woods with three children.

  Superintendent of the San Francisco Mint 1912 to 1920. Presided over the striking of the first $50 gold piece authorized by the government. The coins were issued in commemoration of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915. He attended the 1915 ANA convention held in San Francisco. He died at home in Shasta County.
