• Born near Muldrow, Oklahoma. A Cherokee Indian. Married Mayme A. Haglund December 11, 1898. Served as mayor of Tahlequa, Oklahoma, 1908 to 1910; state legislature 1911 to 1913; county attorney 1911 to 1912; U.S. probate attorney 1914.

  He served as Register of the Treasury March 24, 1915, to November 20, 1919. His signature appears on paper money issued during that period. Served as assistant attorney general of Oklahoma 1926 to 1927; on Supreme Court Commission in Oklahoma after 1927. He was a member of the Masons.
