Bio

• Born as Edith Bolling Galt in Wytheville, Virginia. She married President Woodrow Wilson on December 18, 1915. She served as first lady from 1915 until 1921.

  Edith Wilson appears on the second “First Spouse” coin for the Wilson presidentcy released on December 16, 2013. The obverse was designed by David Westwood and engraved by Michael Gaudioso. The reverse was designed and engraved by Joseph Menna.
