Wilson, Ellen Louise Public Deposited
Born as Ellen Loise Axson in Savannah, Georgia. She married Woodrow Wilson on June 24, 1885. They had three daughters. She served as first lady from 1913 until her death in 1914. She died at the White House.
Ellen Wilson appears on the first “First Spouse” gold coin for the Wilson presidency released on December 9, 2013. The obverse was designed by Frank Morris and engraved by Charles Vickers. The reverse was designed and engraved by Don Everhart.
