Bio

• Born and died at Logansport, Indiana. Employed with Logansport Morning Press, news editor with Franklin (IN) Daily Journal, bureau manager with United Press International. Married to Helen Carmody.

  Life member of the Indiana State Numismatic Association and ISNA historian-curator. Bourse chair for ISNA conventions 1982-1988. Served on the board for American Numismatic Association 2001-2003. Served as Central States Numismatic Association secretary-treasuer 1994 to 2008. He was named a Numismatic News Numismatic Ambassador in 1997. Bourse chairman for CSNS 1998 to 2013. He received the Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in 2003.

  He collected Indiana currency and fractional currency.
