Bio

• Veteran of World War I. Attended Purdue University. Employed as a civil engineer prior to WWII in 1940.Commanding officer of the 22nd  Special Construction Battalion during WWII. He retired from the Navy as a Captain in 1960.

  Married to Mary Blair with a daughter. Following her death in 1977 he married Donalda Wittberg. Specialist in Presbyterian Communion tokens. Author of Communion Tokens of the Established Church of Scotland  (1968).

  He died at home in Mesa, Arizona.

  His obituary in Coin World  gave his name as M. V. Orr.
