• Born in Dearborn, Michigan. Married to Evelyn Sobeck with three children.

  Board member of Central States Numismatic Society and president after January 1, 2010.

  He received the Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in 1998 and Medal of Merit in 2000. He was named a Numismatic News Numismatic Ambassador in 1999.

  He died in Westland, Michigan.
