• Born as Marjorie Holmes in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Married to Lowell L. Owen in 1941 with four children. He died in 1976. Married Robert L. Hendershott in 1983. He died in 2005.

  President of Central States Numismatic Society. She was named a Numismatic News Numismatic Ambassador in 1981. She received the ANA Medal of Merit in 1986.

  She died at home in Indianola, Iowa.
