Bio

• Roman statesman appointed dictator of Rome in 458 BCE in response to a crisis and void in leadership. He defeated an enemy army and resigned to return to his farm.

   

                  The Society of the Cincinnati was founded in NewBurgh, New York, in May 1783 by officers of the Continental Army.
