Bio

• The Historical Magazine, and Notes and Queries Concerning the Antiquities, History and Biography of America was published from 1857 to 1875. First published in Boston, with John Ward Dean as editor, The Historical Magazine contributed to the documentation of American history and the growth of Historical and Numismatic Societies. More importantly, the magazine created a form for disseminating literary works and questions on the topics of history, numismatics, science, and societies.
