  Son of Robert and Goldye Friedberg. He received a B.A. from George Washington University and masters degree from New York University. Member of PNG after 1977.

  President of Coin & Currency Institute. Author of A Guide Book of United States Paper Money; Coins of the Bible; Paper Money of the United States.

  In 2021 he was on the Coin World list of The Most Influential People in Numismatics 1960-2020. He made the list again in 2022.
