• Born as Mamie Geneva Doud in Boone, Iowa. Married Dwight Eisenhower in 1915. She died in Washington, D.C.

  She appears on the “First Spouse” $10 gold coin and corresponding medal released May 7, 2015. The obverse was designed by Richard Masters and sculpted by Joseph Menna. Reverse was designed by Barbara Fox and sculpted by Tenata Gordon.
