Reverse Description: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
General Notes: The 1956-D penny is commonly found in all circulated grades and in Gem levels up through MS66, above which this issue becomes a real rarity. Registry set collectors pay high premiums for the chance to own one of but a small number of examples grading MS67 or higher.
