Reverse Description: A star is centered with the words "ONE STELLA", "400 CENTS" written inside. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * FOUR DOL. around the periphery. The words "DEO EST GLORIA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM" are written inside the circumference.
General Notes: With a scant mintage of 425 coins, the flowing hair 1879 Stella is generally the only Stella that can be found in the market on a reliable basis. These are the type coins for the series. All other Stellas are extremely rare.
