    How about a 1280 pistareen? =C2=A0I have a couple of 1870 counterfeit =C2=
=A0Portrait dollars. I've been told the pistareen is regal. I agree Jeff, i=
f it was round and close, who cared?

The date is, of course, a die engraver's error -- and happens both for back=
dating and forward dating.=C2=A0 There are George III Irish halfpennies for=
1966 and 1969, and I have a French coin that should be dated 1597 that is =
1957 instead. The strange thing is that it seems to have made no difference=
at all -- all these coins clearly saw some circulation.

Interestingly, the exact same dating error occurs on a Spanish 2 Reales -- =
    pic attached.
